Frequently asked questions about group coaching

Who can participate?

Anyone in a leadership position, including assistant principals, curriculum directors, department heads etc.

How do I set up my 30-minute private session with Mike?

It’s simple. Mike will post a calendar online with available times. We will send you that link and you will just select an available time that is convenient for you. Mike will give you a call at the scheduled time.

I am interested, but how do I make sure this is right for me?

Please email Larry Sterne at or call 1-800-321-7471. If Larry is unable to answer all of your questions, he will refer you to Mike.

I really want to do this, but I’m not sure my central office will approve the funds.

Mike has volunteered to explain the program to anyone who makes purchasing decisions. We believe the value is extraordinary when you compare it to the cost of attending one out-of-town conference or bringing in a consultant for one day.

Will I be able to continue to communicate with other group members after the session has ended?

The private Facebook page will remain open and self-facilitated after the program has ended. Group members may also opt to share their personal contact information with other members of the group for continued communication.

What are my responsibilities as a group member?

The more active and engaged each member is, the more valuable the group-coaching experience will be for everyone. Members are encouraged to ask questions and to share both their negative and positive experiences implementing SEL with the group. Members are also encouraged to attend as many live sessions as they can and to contribute their own resources to the group.

Can more than one person join from my school or district?

Yes. A separate registration is required for each person.

Can you provide any references on Mike’s work?

Mike has many great testimonials to the quality of his work.
