Alan November

is recognized internationally as a pioneer and leader in education technology. Each July, he leads the Building Learning Communities conference, which attracts leading educators from around the world to Boston to discuss the best innovative and practical learning resources for schools. Alan is co-founder of the Institute for Education Leadership and Technology at Stanford University. He is the author of Who Owns the Learning?, the best-selling book, Empowering Students with Technology and Web Literacy for Educators.  Alan has been a director of an alternative high school, computer coordinator, technology consultant and university lecturer. He is most proud of being named one of the first McAuliffe Educators, an award program sponsored by the National Foundation for the Improvement of Education. Teachers are nominated by others and chosen through a national search.
