Surprisingly, many schools find that the biggest challenge of implementing SWPBS is not dealing with the unresponsive student who needs additional behavior interventions.

The biggest challenge for many administrators is getting staff solidly behind a primary prevention effort (Tier 1). Staff must be proactive instead of merely reactive. They must learn to effectively coach all students to adopt the socially appropriate behaviors that help create a school-wide culture that is predictable, consistent, positive and safe.

Join Donald Kincaid, Ed.D., director of the Florida Positive Behavior Support Project at the University of South Florida, for a 90-minute webinar that will provide practical answers to the most common implementation issues and questions when schools make the transition to SWPBS. The emphasis will be on Tier 1 implementation, one of the most challenging aspects of SWPBS for many educators.

In working with schools around the country on SWPBS implementation, Don says there are 12 questions he hears repeatedly about how to be effective with Tier 1 primary prevention efforts. The webinar will provide answers to these 12 most commonly asked questions.
