Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.
Benjamin Franklin

SNAPSHOT: Saying the right thing to teachers when giving feedback is one of the biggest and most important challenges you face as an educational leader.

Say the wrong thing and teachers become defensive and resistant to the changes they need to make to increase learning in their classrooms. Say the right thing and you can gain the momentum you need to improve instructional practices in your school.

The stakes are high for your students, and it all hinges on your skill as a mentor and communicator.
